Just a quick update for those of you on the edge of your seats when it comes to our lives.
- I re-chipped the tooth that was repaired on Monday.
- I sent my favorite lens – a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM – in for repairs. The front piece of the lens body was coming loose. With just under a month left on the three-year extended warranty, the timing was pretty much perfect!
- I stepped on a hot coal from the grill. The coal became embedded, resulting in what appears to be a black crater in the ball of my foot.
- I discovered a deep laceration in Data’s left rear leg that has become infected, so he is now on antibiotics (again) and will need hot compresses twice a day.
In other news, Julia completed all of her classwork for a S.C.U.B.A. certification. She has promised that she will post about it, but has not done so yet. Also, I’m working on a really big photography-related post, but it will take me quite a while to finish.
It is a nice lens, but I prefer a nice 50mm for portraiture. I suppose it depends largely on what sort of photography you take. Looks like you’ve got your bullets back. I wish someone would help me with my problem.

I have a Canon 50mm f/1.8 that I like as well, but for my style of photography, the longer zoom is really the best range for me.
